April 2015

Wow... It's almost the end of April already. Time is going by so fast.

We are finally able to go outside in a light sweater and enjoy the fresh air.
Seems like summer is just around the corner, Sadie will finish her first year in school, and we will be on our yearly summer vacation at a cottage for the week. (which is always fun when we go with my parents and my sister and her fiancĂ©)

Letting the kids burn off some energy!

We've been having a hard time with Conner getting into the water during swimming lessons. For the first four lessons he would NOT pass the first step into the pool. But last Saturday, with a new MALE lifeguard, he actually spent the whole 30 mins letting the lifeguard take him into the water, blowing bubbles, teaching Conner how to doggy paddle, how to do the startfish and he even had Conner jumping into the pool. WOW (p.s. Conner is the one standing in the picture, sorry that the quality is bad I was on the other side of the pool)

We also helped my mom in her garden. My mom and kids did most of the work while I was enjoying a beer on the deck with my dad.

Happy 5th Birthday Sadie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Saturday, Sadie had a couple of friends over from school to help celebrate her birthday. It was crazy, loud and very tiring but Sadie had a blast.

Then on Sunday, we went out for breakfast with my parents and my sister and her fiancé at the Gorge. Sadie loves it when we do birthday brunchs and she always has to wear the same outfit everytime.
After brunch we went to my place and Sadie got to open some presents.

Sadie got a lot of dolls, and clothes, but I think this is her most favourite.

Kids 1st Swimming Lessons

On Marc 21st, Sadie and Conner went to there first swimming lesson. We went to the Swimplex in   Elmira (which I haven't been to since its been built) and its AMAZING.... anyways back to the kids. Sadie and Conner were super excited.
We went to get them changed in the change rooms, gave them a "shower" and they were ready to go. Sadie was right away into it, she met the lifeguard that will be teaching them (I was lucky enough to get them into the same class) and was ready to learn. Conner on the other hand DID NOT want to participate what so ever.
Tom stood on the side lines with him to see if Conner would warm up to the idea. After half way thru lessons Conner found a lifeguard to his liking and he let her take him into the water.
Hopefully, when the kids go to lessons this Saturday, Conner will go with his sister and participate with his class.

Spring is on its way!

Last week, since it was starting to get warmer out, I thought it was a great time for the whole family to get outside and get some fresh air. I took quite a few pictures, but the kids didn't want to sit still long enough.

There was little boots splashing in the puddles of melted snow, and even ice snowballs (made by the husband) hitting my back and being thrown into the back of my shirt.  Conner thought that daddy had the best idea in the world so he started throwing snow at my butt and putting snow down his sister's back. Boys!

Today I caught the spring cleaning bug and cleaned all my windows, swept the front porch, cleaned out the husbands garage, cleaned the BBQ (why am I doing my husbands chores?) and even went  through all the kids toys and clothes that they have outgrown or never use.  Guess tomorrow I'll be making a trip to the salvation army... I have two large garbage bags full of clothes and 1 large bag of toys. Also a large box full of old dvds and books that the kids have no interest in.

This weekend and next we are going to be busy... we'll be getting kids signed up for swimming lessons, and next weekend we will be visiting Toms friend (from work) and the kids will get a chance to learn where maple syrup is made and even get to tap their own tree. Sadie's the most excited because Tom mentioned to her that she even gets to ride a horse!

Happy 3rd Birthday Conner!

Someone turned 3 yesterday!
It's crazy how fast my baby boy is growing. He's not a baby anymore.

This is a cute picture I had to take of Conner when we were coming home from breakfast. Somehow he was able to grab Tom's work helmet. Tom is hoping that in 18 years he will follow his footsteps!

After going out for breakfast with my family, we came home and Conner opened a few presents

Conner got a tractor from Beppe and Pake

Ninja Turtles from Mom, Dad, Sadie and Aunt Nicole and Uncle Scott!

In the afternoon, Toms family came over.

 Someone loves Ninja Turtles

Someone got really spoiled!

At the end of the night Tom and Conner were having a blast playing with Conner's new remote controlled car. I had to have the kitchen timer set for 2 mins so they were able to have equal amount of time per turn.  Sometimes it seems like I have two little boys.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I'm back!

Its been four long years, but I'm back. I've had a lot of friends asking me when I'm going to update my blog. Well its a New Year so I've decided to come back and write to you what is going on in my life. I hope later in life my children will be able to read this and see pictures and read comments from family and friends. Since I last posted we've had an addition to the family
Conner was born on January 11th 2012 In just a few short days we will be celebrating his 3rd birthday. It's crazy how time fly's by!
When I first started blogging Sadie was only a year old. Now she's going to be 5 in March. She started junior kindergarten last September and its amazing to watch and see how much she has grown. She is actually becoming her own person. She's got an opinion for everything and she's not afraid to speak her mind.
